Although these may be young adult books, they have a lot of discussion to go with them. I love reading mystery books, but I suggest the following:
- And Then There Were None: (Also published as: Ten Little Indians) A good mystery novel with a surprising twist.
- Small Steps: Although short, it is a novel that can entertain young adults to the elderly.
- A biography of someone: This is good way to discuss someone's life. Discuss why they did that action.
- Gossamer: Again, a very short novel, but very intriguing and asks you the unthinkable.
- Harry Potter: Love It! :D

Well if you're looking for a good but very sad book then Ethan Frome is the book, but if you want a good book with a good twist, the For One More Day is a pretty good book. if u want a good "meaning of life" type of book, then Tuesdays With Morrie is a good book.
Oh and a really good book is To Kill a Mockingbird, that's a true classic.
