Lennon from both the Beatles era, and his solo stuff. But what they wrote together as the Beatles is still some of the greatest music ever made.

When I was a teen it was Lennon all the way. But as I grew up,
I had some difficulty separating the things john said verses his actions, so I lean more towards McCartney. I guess johns personal life overshadowed his musical gifts, don't get me wrong, the Beatles are still the best band ever (well tied with Pink Floyd) =) I just kinda resent the way he treated Julian.

If I had a significant other-I would prefer pizza, movie and Pepsi (don't drink alcohol). I am a homebody. But a night out would be good too. When I was married we went out at least once a week. Not always dinner-sometimes just a drive and an ice cream cone. Then the other weekend night we would do pizza and a movie. We ordered pizza weekly from the same place for over 25 years. Hardly ever missed a week!

Lennon was the reason I really got into the Beatles when I discovered them in high school. As an older man, I now appreciate the value that Paul broght to the band, though.

Lennon I think.
But it's hard to say since he has been gone so long - if he was alive his music may be different now.
He would still be anti-war and I think would be right into the environment too. And I would like to think he would have divorced Yoko and married someone else.
