who do you think could win the nomination and the presidency... and why?

a few points from my own opinion...

McCain I think gives them the best chance... but some don't like him in the party and that could hurt him in the primaries...

Romney... I really worry about his mormon religion and him needing to carry the south with that religion... and it will be an issue...

At the moment I think Sen John McCain from Arizona or former Mayor of New York City Rudy Giuliani have the best chances according to polls.
But really, it's too soon to be trying to predict something like this.
Maybe if John and Rudy got together and ran as Pres and VPres they'd have a great chance. Both have high name-recognition.

This is in no way to imply that I'd vote for either of them...

Definitely Sen. John McCain, War Hero and Prisoner of War. The conservatives are prepared to accept him even though he tends to be more moderate. He'll serve 8 years giving Republicans 36 of the last 48 years.

McCain is 21 points ahead of Hilary Clinton and 32 ahead of B. Hussein Obama in early polls--the biggest lead ever in early polling.

All politics in the U.S is conected to the Mormans. McCain just hired the guy that did the dirty job on Ford in Tennessee, with the white women and the rest of the roten campaigh crap. Now working for McCain. To bad he lost it while being a prisoner.

IN 2008 IN 2008..mY VIEW IS BAD TIMES AHEAD. honestly I do not think we as a nation have the will to finish the job in iraq. the republicans have returned to what made them stronger. this past year was a wake up call for them . they actually want the nation to elect a demo president. that way the demo's and turn coat republicans get what they want. only way to expose a piece of **** is let the light of day shine on it and thats what all of us smart republicans want anyway.

McCain is the moderate and closest to a Democrat so I would guess that will be the Repubs best chance? its iffy at best unless the evangelicals get fired up about something trivial and decide to stuff the ballot?

Theres another Bush down south that can carry on the mess that this Bush got us into. Yeah, lets bring him in to completly finish the job of screwing up what we have left.

Guilliani or McCain, because they're the only ones in the Republican Party that have any significant nationwide popular support.

Probably Milt Romney, very much a middle of the road man. Plus major damage control.

DOES IT REALLY MAKE ANY DIFFERENCE ? EVERY 4 YEARS WE HEAR ALL ABOUT HOW SOMEONE IF ELECTED, WILL MAKE EVERYTHING SO MUCH BETTER , THAN THE LAST PRESIDENT, BETTER SCHOOLS, BETTER JOB,S AFFORDABLE, HEALTH COVERAGE, FOR EVERY AMERICAN CITIZEN, LESS CRIME. AND SO ON. REALLY ? I THINK WERE ALL IN A WORLD OF HURT. NONE OF THEM REALLY CARE, ONLY ABOUT HOW MANY PEOPLE STAND IN THERE WAY TO THE TOP. JUST LOOK, ANYWHERE, GOD HAVE MERCY ON US ALL !
