2/6(5k + 35) - 8 = 12

Assume you mean

(2/6)(5k + 35) - 8 = 12

Clear the fraction by multiplying both sides by 6

2(5k + 35) - 48 = 72
10k + 70 - 48 = 72
10k + 22 = 72
10k = 50
k = 5

Check

2(25 + 35)/6 - 8 = 12
2(60)/6 - 8 = 12
20 - 8 = 12
12 = 12

5/6c - 2/3c = 1/3
Assume you mean

5c/6 - 2c/3 = 1/3

Clear the fractions as before

5c(6)/6 - 2c(6)/3 = 6(1/3)
5c - 4c = 2
c = 2

I will show you just one..

3/4 - 1/3 Z = 1/4

12 (3/4 - 1/3 Z ) = 12 (1/4) ---multiple both sides
9 - 4Z = 3
9 - 4Z + 4Z = 3 + 4Z ---- add to both sides
9 = 3 + 4Z
9 - 3 = 3 - 3 + 4Z ---- substract both sides
6 = 4Z
6/4 = 4Z/4 ------divide both sides
3/2 = Z ------- simplify
