Your abs will become stronger but if your sole aim is to get a six pack then you should try exercises whhich focus soley on the abs. Push-ups will build shoulders, chest (pecs) and arms more. Try sit-ups and crunches.

they build chest pecs and shoulders arms not really abs just flex alot i do i have a 6 pack benching is better than pushups do the ball great ab workout.

If you do push-ups correctly, then yes. Keeping your back perfectly straight as you are doing the push ups works out your abdominal muscles.
