does it affend any of you guys when some one gets on and starts dissing what you believe in like i belive in Jesus if like a musslim or anybody not just them got on yahoo answers and started saying all this crap would that affend you like heck or is it just me

It depends on what my day's been like, or if my mood is sensitive that day or not. Like if I'm PMSing and what not. If I'm not sensitive then I try not to take it personal and look to the Bible for answers. The Bible tells us to respond with love. If that doesn't seem to go anywhere, then I have to stop talking to that person and pray for them because I will get frustrated and even angry and more than likely start insulting them back. It's just human. As Christians, we are representatives of Christ. Insults always do harm instead of good. It makes the people's hearts you're witnessing to harden even more than they already are towards christianity. We don't want that :) We want to draw people to God's love, not drive them further away from it. So if you can stop yourself from arguing or instulting, that would be ideal. Do so and pray for the person who's persecuting you. That's what the Bible says to do. Don't beat yourself up if you've given into your frustration, though. Nobody's perfect and God knows that. Just keep trying to control your tounge in situations like these and ask the Holy Spirit to help you with this and to give you words of love and wisdom when you talk to people like this, and He will. But if He doesn't every time, don't settle for harsh, cruel words. Let the person know that you care about them too much to continue in this kind of a conversation with them, and then stop and pray for God to soften their hearts towards his ways. Sometimes that's all any of us can do.

Yeah, I would probably get offended if someone got on and started saying mean crap about what I believe in. Even though I don't believe in Jesus as you do, it probably would bother me. After all, the new gospel seems to be a very forgiving and loving doctrine compared to most other religions, ESPECIALLY the Muslim one. After all, doesn't it quote in their book that if the infidel doesn't change beliefs to put them to death?

Yes its hard not to judge people who ... judge people. The key is not letting it get the better of you. When people start dissing you online dont even answer them. Imagine they dont even exist. :Leave them alone to argue with themselves about the things they can't change like different opinions. Its a fight they will never win and they are losers by default for being so childish.

You have to remember that the vast majority of people are closed minded. People get offended to easily, usually if you're offended easily it's because you're beliefs or convictions on the particular subject are not strong. If you truly believe something why does it matter what someone else thinks?

Yes it does offend all christians when non believers diss our beliefs. But it also offends other religions when we say things about theirs. That is why i believe it is best that the religious aspect stay out of this. They will always clash & someone will always get hurt & angry.

Yeah, it would offend me!! People have a right to think what they want, but why do you have to share your thoughts on different Faith everywhere you go?? This isn't a place to banter other people's Faith. I know this is the U.S. and we have a freedom of Religion, but it doesn't mean you can just go out and dis others Faith.

It's OK to disagree with people, and it's OK to debate--if you do it in a mature way. When people start hurling insults, though, that's definitely childish, and it's hardly even worth getting offended.

Everyone is entitled to his or her opinion. If they are ranking on me because of my opinion, I don't let it bother me. In fact, I read each answer and see if anyone else believes the same as me or if any of their arguments make sense to me. YA is just a forum. Don't let it get to you personally.
