Storylines and match outcomes are scripted, but the wrestlers really put their bodies through damage and pain. Wrestlers are real athletes. I don't think a football player could get in that ring and put themselves through the physical exertion that wrestlers do. Although winners are scripted, the wrestlers work out the matches and wrestling moves that will be done themselves.
I like what Edge said in an interview recently. A CNN interviewer asked him about going to Iraq for Tribute to the Troops and called wrestling fake. They aired footage of an attack in Iraq, and after it aired the interviewer said "Now, we all know wrestling is fake...big shocker, but what goes on in Iraq is real"… She asked Edge how he felt about traveling to Iraq and he responded that this was his first trip because the first time the WWE went he had suffered a broken neck because of the "fake industry".
Edge was highly offended and I don't blame him. Wrestling is not all fake and to label it as such is a discredit to these athletes who sacrifice life and limb to entertain us every week.

I also hate when people say it is fake. The outcomes are scripted but there is nothing fake about falling off a hell in the cell. The wrestlers put their bodies through a lot and I know I wouldnt want to be told that what I do is "fake"

WWE & TNA are a disgrace to the word wrestling, try Greco Roman or Freestyle if you want to see REAL wrestling.......WWE & TNA are not real wrestling...........my own opinion...............

omg i hate when ppl say they are fake. the storylines and outcomes are fake....but you try falling off of a 20 foot ladder and see "how fake it is" . they get hurt theres nto one wrestler that hasnt had some type of injury....fake....im thinking no.
