No they do not tell us the truth. US media is a blatant tool of the government to spread their lies and propaganda.

the real trick here is... does the news stations know "all the truth" (are they trying hard to get it?) and can you explain the "real truth" in the 3 minutes they have to present you with a story on most channels?

the medium, and people's attention span, really limit how much they can tell you... it's mostly just a few pieces of the overall larger picture and you have to do some work to put them together on your own...

Iraq (and most issues in the news) are very complicated... and there is just no way they can REALLY explain it ALL in a short little snippet that we can all watch while we eat breakfast in the morning...

and that's assuming they KNOW the whole truth, which most of the time, they probably don't... and CARE what the actual truth is...

I think some don't care, because they know with the limits of the news, it's almost impossible to tell the whole story...so why bother...

there are of course exceptions... but it's hard to tell the whole truth of a very complicated story in three minutes... especially when the truth is probably hard to find at times...

I examine this this text till now and have been questioning an analogous element. Inflation is comparatively low, unemployment is low, quotes of interest are close to an all time low, yet all we pay attention approximately from the information media is how we are all under one paycheck faraway from being homeless and what a failure Iraq is. i gets a variety of of thumbs down for this, however the common actuality of the project is individuals are fat, spoiled and lazy. we are so accustom to on the spot gratification that something that threatens our convenience zone will become an on the spot disaster. $4 a gallon gas or $4 Latte? Oh my! The oil businesses might desire to be gouging us! The U.S. has the optimal obesity fee interior the international. Is that because of the fact we are scraping paycheck to paycheck? Is McDonald's going broke? all of us know what Britney Spears is up too, yet can absolutely everyone stumble on their Representatives in Congress?. i might desire to circulate on yet there is not any element. all of us know each and every thing is Bush's fault. mind-blowing? the genuine project is the word 'accountability' has been replaced with the word 'blame' interior the yank vocabulary. I frightens me that maximum of human beings circulate right into a blind panic if issues are actually not a hundred% their way. It frightens me much extra that somewhat of taking accountability for their lives, maximum of people desire Washington to 'restoration' each and every thing for them. i might extra advantageous end earlier i circulate right into a rant.

The news tells us what THEY deem to be important from the viewpoint THEY deem to be most accurate.

That is where the bias comes. The liberals, (the vast majority of mainstream media) see it from a totally different perspective than the conservatives (Fox News & a few papers).

The best way to get a balanced perspective is to watch BOTH. Fox & CNN (or other mainstream news program)

I hear BBC is very liberal in what they choose to headline with, but is less biased in how the present it.
