More promoting, an improved advertising group, useful layout, homogeneity. PC is nearly any laptop now not a mac, and of direction they are going to run the gamut in great/rate/layout. Therefore the one factor that Macs quite have over each and every PC is that they are able to run Apple proprietary application. There's additionally an snapshot factor that I'm noticing with Macs. Due to their branding and promoting Macs are recognized as "cooler" than their PC counterpart in targeted subcultures. I'm on the grounds that plenty of you set down 'virus unfastened' as probably the most foremost professionals of a mac. That nevertheless has to do with the Unix established running process run at the Mac as a substitute than the Mac itself. If PC customers are so willing, they are able to additionally get a virulent disease unfastened running process in probably the most many Linux flavors.

I have both Mac and Windows (a Mac is technically a PC) and I much prefer my Mac. There are less maintenance issues, the ease of use is fantastic, nearly everything you could want to do on a Windows machine you can do on a Mac.

However, as pointed out, if you're heavily into gaming, you'll want the Windows PC.

The truth of matter is that regardless of MAC's being able to run both OSX and Windows, PC's still have a good foothold in the market. They are simple, can be purchased from thousands of resellers for a very low cost, and can be upgraded for a relatively low cost.

MAC's are high performance machines. Problem is, that performance is expensive, very proprietary, and difficult to support at times.

Sure a MAC can run OSX and Windows (but) you still have to purchase a full version of Microsoft Windows to legally use it. In addition, this may not be supported by Apple or Microsoft.

I have to support both MAC's and PC's. In fact I have a Mac Mini sitting on my desk. I use the PC 98% of the time.

Now one of my subordinates switched to a MAC Book Pro and likes it just fine. But all he uses it for is business.

Switching to a MAC is more than just purchasing the computer. You have to learn how to navigate the OS, install applications, and recover when problems occur.

If you want to swich to a MAC you should first purchase a book and see what the environment looks like.

As one said the Mac is really just a pc without a bios and using Mac os (freeBSD). It's better to get a PC with linux (superior to mac os (based on linux), and windows xp on it for a dual boot (choose either one). As you already pointed out, the PC is the way to go. As most of the market (well over 90%) is for Microsoft windows NOT mac os or linux (linux does has more choices than the mac os for programs/games). There is really no difference except in OS now adays.

And I'm biased towards mac. You can use Windows on Mac. And its very powerful. Since you can use Windows, you can do all the other stuff. Just get an external mouse.
