x over x-2 minus x+1 over x = 8 over x^2-2x ... Solve for x.?

I have tried this over and over and can not get a straight answer. I am stuck. Please help! :)

x/(x-2) - (x+1)/x = 8/(x^2 - 2x)
(x^2 - (x^2-x-2))/(x*(x-2)) = 8/(x^2-2x)
(x^2 - (x^2-x-2)) = 8
x+2 = 8
x= 6
