I am 31 weeks going on 32 weeks and have been experiencing my stomach getting really tight... it is uncomfortable, I don't think it's contractions, cause it's not really painful, but it feels weird and uncomfortable...
It is starting to happen more and more, and my baby moves around alot...Is this normal ???
Has anybody else experienced this at 31 weeks... I'd appreciate some advice or opinions.. or personal experiences would be great ... thanks.

It's probably Braxton-Hicks contractions. They don't usually hurt, it's just like all of your mucles get really tight for a few seconds.

Keep track of them, though. You shouldn't be having more than 4 in any given hour this early on.

When I was pregnant with my daughter (now 6 years old), I began having those kind of non-painful contractions at about 5 minutes apart when I was 33 weeks. I didn't dialate or anything, but the doctor put me on bed rest til I was 36 weeks just to be safe.

If yours become really regular or your water breaks or you have pain or bleeding, please call your doctor immediately!

I am 40 weeks and this has been happening to me since about 30 weeks. I asked my doctor and she said that is the baby moving around and the muscles are tightening up. Also the other thing that it can be is the fluid being pushed up by the baby. The other thing that it could be and most likely is, is Braxton Hicks. They are annoying and will usually stick aroung until the real ones. I know it sounds weird, but get up and walk around or climb some stairs that usually lessens the pain. Hope all goes well, and when in doubt call your doctor.

Its called Braxton Hicks contractions and they dont have to be painful. I have been having BH contractions since I was 18 weeks. To have them during week 31 and 32, and after is very normal . Dont worry about that a bit. It will jsut feel a bit uncomfortable like your being squeezed.

Sounds like Braxton Hicks Contractions. Perfectly normal It's your body getting ready for the real thing.

Oh yeah... they are called Braxton-Hicks contractions. They have nothing to do with labour, and don't mean that labour is coming. I had them for months before I delivered. At times they were strong enough that I had to breath through them, but for the most part just irritating. They say to drink cold water and get up and change position.

Trust me, you'll know when they are the real thing... they get progressively worse and more rythmic, and all you can do is concentrate on breathing.

It's normal. You are feeling Braxton-Hicks contractions. They are harmless. It's your body's trial run before the real deal. See your doctor if the contractions become regular and painful. You don't want to go into pre-term labor. Congratulations!

Absolutely normal.
Thats calls braxton hicks. They are fake contractions, kind of like practice ones :) it will continue right up until you go into labour.
