HelP !! my daughter's computer keeps restarting itself. I will stay on for few minutes, and then shuts off, and restarts and shuts off..... what's wrong?

Your computer is restarting because it's crashing. Did you install any software or hardware recently? If yes, uninstall the hardware or software and try again. The problem most likely is with something in your startup, when my computer was doing that I had just recently installed a new graphics driver. If the problem continues, try starting the computer in safe mode and run virus/adware/spyware scan.

If you would like to keep it from restarting, right click on my computer and choose properties. Click the advanced tab, and press settings under startup and recovery. Uncheck the box that says automatically restart. That way you can see what the issue is.

Sounds like a virus. I would call microsoft about the issue and they will take you step by step to help you with the issue. I had the same problem 2 years ago and that is how I got it resolved. I think it was called the blaster virus.
