how do you know who's in contention for a title?

The official answer is: (and can be found in the manual) Power 25. The Power 25 top 10 are in contention for the heavyweight title and top 15 for the secondary title(Intercontinental and U.S.) Every other title has to have people in the top 25 or on a win streak of 6 matches or more. One Love.

Haha this bugs the heII outta me too. I'm not sure but I think it might have something to do with their popularity, contracts, OR how high they are on the P25. Just a guess. And if you need help pounding the comp. into the ground in GM mode go to my source.

go to the power 25 and if you press R1 or L1 it should have pictures and in gray begind it.. it should say contender.. or when your picking the match press the right arrow and go to ware it says contenders on the top then has the list of names who can have a shot at the title... if the wrestler isent a contender it will tell you when you try to confirm the match... hope i helped ya... i may have not been able to exsplain good enough but once you get it.. its really easy!

if they are in the top 10 in the P25, and also their weight class.
