SCARED TO DEATH! We tried to conceive for almost a year and I had pretty much figured that I couldn't get pregnant, so when that test showed a plus sign, I was in complete shock and I cried for about an hour.

I have never been so up and down with feelings of uncertainty and excitement! It actually took me about three months to believe that it was real.

I am now 40 weeks pregnant and I cannot wait to meet my son! I now know that I can and will be a great mom =)

well my story is a bit different..since i was ayoung kid i always wanted a child.. i met my partner nearly 4 years ago..and at the start we used protection after that we didn't because we didnt want to and if i did fall pregnant it wouldn have been so bad...so for months we had umprotected sex..so i had made myself believe that i couldn have a baby.. in feb o4 i went in to get my tonsils removed my period due the day of the operation and never thought much of it..after the surgery i had a real bad infection and thought that was the reason my period never came.so i told the doc and he took a pregnancy test.and guess wat...i was pregant.. iwas so excited but so overwhelmed i cried for i think the 1st 24 hours after that we were both over the moon.. loved it so much was the only feelin in the world that i never wanted to dissapear.sadly my son was born 14 weeks premature and died 6 weeks after that.the worst time in my life.just wish to god i could have done somethin about it..now im tryin for a second..hopefullty il feel that same feelin again...good luck

My exact words were 'oh sh it' I went to the doctor for a completely unrealated reason and came out with news of a baby! We'd been trying for almost 2 years with no luck so we'd given up and started planning other stuff for our lives. So since we'd given up the postitive test result was a complete shock!

I found out I was pregnant the day after my grandmother's funeral. I fell asleep on the couch and I never take day naps, so I decided to do an HPT. I could not believe when it came back "pregnant" (It was a digital one); my hands were shaking and when my husband got home we went out and got another test that confirmed. Even then I had bloodwork done. I'll never forget that day.

I was bloody despondent every time.I laugh now but I took a fit then.Never any money ,worry worry worry .I am so glad it's not like that for you.I wish you and your baby every happiness It's lovely to hear of someone so happy.
By the way we were all a big happy gang and wanted for nothing much(certainly not love) in the end
P.s --there wasn't much in the way of family planning back then!

I was totally amazed! I was at work when I rang the doctor for the results, I met my husband at lunch break and told him.....it was one of the most memorable times for me....elated, couldn't believe it....had to ask the doc. to go back and double check!

It really is like a miracle...wow...you know it happens but when it happens to you...phew!

I had two miracles, one is now 22 the other married and 24!

My first reaction was negative, and was back and forth throughout my pregancy. It took until she was born to really feel good about having a baby. I never thought I wanted kids, and didn't think I could raise a child, but it really is a natural thing.
