Personally, I wouldnt go near Indy this weekend. The Colts and Patriots are playing on Sunday. Indy is going to be slammed with traffic. The restaurants will be packed as well.
If you go downtown though and brave the crowds....there are some really good bars down on Meridian. The Slippery Noodle is a great place to hang out if you like Jazz and Blues music.
There is also Crackers Comedy Club downtown. Christopher "Kid" Reid is showing this weekend.

There are some really great bars all along Meridian St. I also think that there some really cool bars and dance cllubs at the top level of Circle Center Mall. I believe it is called Mardi Gras. There about 3 or 4 bars up there. You pay the cover charge and you get to use all of them.
If you are looking for reasonably priced food. There is The Spaghetti Factory downtown.

Anywhere you might want to go eat, you might want to call ahead and see if they can put you on the list. A lot of places dont do reservations anymore. They just have call-ahead seating.
