Switched on Answers, and before I got to the 4th page of answers, there was twice that number in questions concerning the show (I've even answered one myself).
Expressing ones' disgust at whatever 'ism' is on show on BB is one thing - but could it be now that people who has never watched it are eager to fill C4's coffers...maybe there are people in the top draw of the said station who are rubbing their hands...of what's happening now - and what may happen in the future.

I think you are right about viewing figures. The Chanel 4 bosses and BB producers are probably lifting their champagne classes in celebration, not thinking twice about how they have scarred the nation and tarnished its reputation. All for the sake of entertainment and money.

And I don't buy the story that they are using it to reflect what society is like. If the contestant were ordinary non-celebrity people, then yes, it might be seen as a reflection of some types of people in the UK. However, here you have someone who is a F-listed celebrity who obviously has some ego issues. She does not represent the UK population or nation.

Yep, count me in ... I have not watched it for about 4 years and I did tonight - and i am now watching the highlights online., I cannot believe what I am seeing! Jade Goody screeching like a banshee and repeatedly shouting 'Yer a liar! Yer a liar!' over 4 measly stock cubes? Is this girl completely insane? i don't think she should be anywhere near human beings - she needs a padded cell as soon as she leaves the BB house.

And yes, it had occured to me that C4 had hyped this whole thing up - after all, they could have edited Ms Goody out in huge swathes if they had wanted to.

Think they may have shot themselves in the foot with this, though. Hopefully someone will pull the plug on the show - permanently.

Sweetheart it is not about Race or Colour, but it is about a clash of different personalities. Shilpa has a very bad attitude and so the girls are reacting back...simple answer.
Come on people wake up and smell the coffee, Shilpa is trying to get loads of money from the UK before she goes back to India. It is a very clever and deceiving trick if you look and read between the lines. I knew it was about money as soon as I read the headlines on the news website.

I'm from the States and didnt realize Big Brothers existed over there. Now, I am trying to find every clip I can on the net.

I'm simply shocked by these girls behavior. Simply shocked...

P.S. Now I know where the states stole the idea from....

No doubt C4 are loving this controversy, afterall they are allowing it to continue and fueling it by providing alcohol into the mix as well as not reprimanding housemates for their racist comments, whilst allowing bullying.

All this in the name of entertainment. Shameful.

I think whatever they are paying Shipla, is isn't enough, but bet she makes a bloody fortune out of the treatment of her now.
