Those are probably the 2 biggest reasons, but I think another is that they are too immature to understand the benefits of staying in school and getting at least a high school diploma/GED.

because their parents allow it and because the school allows it.
on career day they should show all of the drop outs showing the kids in school how they make a living saying do you want fries with that and showing the kids the big paychecks they bring home!!!
