I feel we have a pretty healthy sex life - but often I have caught him in the shower or in the AM even if we have had sex the night before. Was it not good sex the night before? Or is it me? I am too embarrassed to ask him so please only serious NOT disgusting or dirty answers - this is really starting to affect my self esteem

It's not you. All happily married guys do that. We're just very discreet and too embarrassed to let you know. But dont take it personal. I'm sure he's very satisfied with his sex life. Chances are he's thinking of you when he does it.

My ex was the same way...no matter if we had sex the night before or what he would always watch porn in the mornings and masturbate. It got so bad to where my self eestem was affected and I just couldn't understand why or take it. I asked him about it bc I found myself resenting him for it and almost being disgusted. He gave me these stupid excuses about being stressed out from work and got all defensive but I honestly believed he had an addiction. He was just someone who was very sexual and always needed pleasure.....he would even masturbate after getting off work and before going to bed and waking up! You should talk to him about bc it bothered me for the longest time before I confronted him about it...end the end I found out he did have a sexual addiction and he was even cheating on me......Its definatly not you. Don't make yourself feel bad about his habits...he is the one with the problem.

Talk to him about it . If that don't work act like its no big deal and when you find him doing it ask if you can help, Use this to make your sex life better not worse. ALL MEN DO IT. They hide it because when they were growing up they would hide it from their mothers telling them it not a nice thing to do, that it dirty. It's no big thing till you make it one. Get involve with it , Make it fun for you too. Hell, let him find you doing the same . See what happens.

I'm not sure why they do it, but my husband does the EXACT same thing yours does. I have caught him numerous times masterbating. I don't understand it, and I don't feel like I can confront him about it.
I know that this really isn't an answer, but I wanted to let you know that you're not alone! (I kinda feel better too knowing that my husband isn't the only one that does it!)

its natural to him he's most likely done it since before you guys were married and if your sex life is pretty good as you say i really wouldnt worry about it only real way to find out is sit with him and discuss it ask him if this is something he's always done or is it because your sex life is lacking who knows maybe he thinks about you while he is doing it but youll neverknow unless you ask or you could encorarate it into your bedroom play as a mutual thing

Hey don't freak out, instead you should try giving him a "helping hand". I don't do this, but then again I am intimate with my wife in the morning, and at night. No need or time for masturbating. My 2 cents.

Stop blaming yourself. I understand how you feel but this could be a habit that your husband had before marrying you. As your said you are embarrassed but maybe you should just ask him why he does it? I am sure it's not you.

Perhaps he's not satisfied, or afraid you'd let him down if he ask for romance too frequently. Check you body language...you maybe giving inadvertent signals.
