all depends on your lifestyle and what type of animal you`re looking for. If you`re busy busy then a high maintenance pet is a no no. Dogs need excersise, grooming and unless you`re going to take them on holiday with you, they need looking after + vets fees. Cats are pretty much their own boss. come & go as they please, sleep 75% of the day, eat & groom the other 25%. Rodents are a bit like cats in as much as they look after themselves, but still require daily feeding and watering & cleaning out. Basically if you`re not 100% commited to any animal, then buy a cuddly toy or better still adopt one from an animal sanctuary. You only have to send a regular donation for its upkeep and you get updates on your chosen pet + a photo.

A rabbit.
They're like the perfect combination between dog, cat, and hamster.
They are crepuscular, aka active at dawn and dusk. So they rest while you're at work and are ready to have fun when you're home.
They can stay in a large cage while you're gone and be out in a pen or bunny proof room for a just a few hours, or, they can even have the run of your house.
They are easy to litter train and can also learn tricks.
They bond well with eachother. Try a bonded spayed/neutered pair.
Check out a local shelter for a cheap, already fixed bunny.
Also check out www.rabbit.org for more information.

DOGS ARE GREAT! If you're looking for an evil pet, cats are great! I would also suggest some smaller pets like guinea pigs, rabbit, bearded dragon, leopard gecko, gerbil, fish? I'll throw you a few sites that I love so you can read some more about different pets...I know of a lot!

It really depends on where you live and do you have the time to take care of it. If you don't have that much time then you might think of getting a fish, hamster, gerbal? If you have a lot of time on your hands are you are living in a house with a backyard then you might be thinking of a dog, they are very cute but they need a lot of care, if you live in apartment then it wouldn't be a good idea. Also cats are very cute too. But it really depends on where you live..might want to add that next time? I hope I helped!

All pets have the potential to be "the best pet".....it just depends on the individual owner to choose the right one to fit his/her lifestyle.....research and find your perfect match.

Personally, it would depend on your living arrangements and financial situation. I have a big yard, 2 jobs and a big dog. When I lived in an apartment I had an iguana. So it would depend on your situation. I like animals of all kinds so, I'd have any kind. Do lots of research and good luck in what you choose.
