I know lots of people have guard-dogs... but what about like a guard-possum? Or goldfish?

I say it'd be a Koala.
Those guys sleep 22 hours out of the day, and the other two hours? Spent eating. That's all they do.
They couldn't guard their own tails if they were trying.

the worst guard animal i ever had was a squirrel who would attack any thing that moved including the meter guy. i came home one day though and no squirrel! i found him later that day fried on a power line . que sera sera.
