I have seen this movie 5 or 6 times and still am not sure exactly what is going on.

The producers combined the books "The Vampire Lestat" & "Queen of The Damned" together. In TVL, Lestat is awaken for his sleep by the rock group in the beginning and he goes to them and offers them fame and fortune if they let him become their lead singer. Since Lestat doesn't like living in the shadows, he starts to reveal vampire secrets in his music and in the videos. His music in turns awakens Akasha and she kidnaps him at his concert before the other vampires can kills Lestat for revealing their secerts. Akasha plans to kills most of the men on Earth and make herself the queen of the this new soceiety with Lestat as her king. You should read the books by Anne Rice that they were based on. They were better than the movie.

Thats because the movie makes no sense. Read the books. Its actually a combination of The Vampire Lestat and The Queen of the Damned. The books are much, much, much better and will make the movie make as much sense as you can get out of it.

Lastat is a vampire from the past and is leading alife as a rock star. Akasha is the "Queen of the Damed". Because of Marius' stories about her, Lastat as become "obsessed about her. When he drinks some of her blood, she becomes alive, after sucking the life out of her king. With this, in the future, she looks for Lastat, wanting to make him her new king. The girl, she comes from a line of vampires, I guess, her guardian is a relative. They don't like Akasha and don't want her to rule again. So, at the end, they try to end her by drinking all her blood, be the girl's guardian drinks the last drop, turning her into stone, ending Akasha's exixtence and that's it.

well the non vamp girl w/ the aunt who gave her up is the great and alot of great granddaughter of vamps which her aunt as she knows is the maid of the queen vamp which she made watch over and rise all of her family.and at the end the girl becomes a vamp i know it's a little hard to understand so i hope this helps you a little.

That's my second favorite of all time. It's all about Lastat's rebellion. But I suggest you read the book.

Don't go by the movie... it sucked ballz.
Read the book. It is WAY better.
