you can set your margins to as wide as possible in 'landscape' then add 2 columns to the document. now you can type and it will appear as a spread of 2 pages.
BUT...i wouldn't do that. i would just type it normally in 'portrait' and under your PRINT dialog box, there should be an option called properties or something similar, depending on what printer you are using, you may have a setting called booklet which will automatically make it like a book would be.
OR ...save as normal using portrait, then take it to a Kinkos/Pip/whatever and tell them what you want it to look like and let them worry about the formatting/printing.

What do you mean divide the page? Put two separate sections on separate pages?

If that is the case you are going to put a page break in between the section. Put the cursor in between the sections go to insert, than break, choose page break and hit enter. Than make it landscape and it should separate on two pages.

You can do that when you are ready to print.

Oops. sorry, should have clarrified. Type out your document in normal format (*portrait) and when you are ready to print, you cna set up "book" format in your print settings. Some printers also are able to do book formats through their settings.
