How can my 8th grade friend convince her parents to get her an iPod nano? They got her a shuffle 2 yrs ago for her birthday, but someone stole it about a yr ago.
She really wants an iPod, she has offered her parents to pay for the stolen one and to pay for the new one. Her parents just change the subject and just don't want to get her one. What should she do?

As much as I am sure you don't want to hear this, she needs to accept that at this point in her life, she has to follow the directions of her parents. She could ask them (in a way that shows RESPECT) how they feel about it, but the bottom line is that she needs to accept that they are the parents and she is the kid.
