EVERY TIME I TRY AND GO ON DIFFERENT WEB SITES A SCREEN POPS UP SAYING INTERNET EXPLORER CANT OPEN THIS SITE IT WILL CLOSE NOW.THEN EVERYTHING GOES OF AND MY COMPUTER STARTS AGAIN WHY DOES IT DO THIS IM ON WINDOWS 98SE AND I DONT KNOW WHAT INTERNET EXPLORER IM USING.PLEASE,PLEASE CAN SOMEBODY HELP THANK YOU

Try to restart your computer.
Check for viruses.
Update your computer and internet explorer.
Make sure that you have internet connection.
All this is important.

Did you try any of these-->
1) Restarting.
2) Doing a virus scan.
3) Uninstalling and then re-installing Internet Explorer.
4) Using another browser (Netscape, Opera, Firefox) to try to access the website to see if it's the internet and not the browser.

get a better internet browser. IE is the sickly member of the heard that is hunted down and eaten by the wolves.
even AOL explorer is a better choice

You only need to do a search on here to see how many people are having problems with IE7. The best thing to do is download Mozilla Firefox available from http://www.mozilla.com/ Its faster, more user friendly, easily customisable to suit your needs and no problems.

Run your virus software on a deep file scan to find any bugs. Then install firefox web browser instead, it's much more secure and less likely to crash. (search firefox in google)

with explorer opened click the help button at top, beside the tools button, and click on "about internet explorer".....then you see the version, u are using. you probably need to update b/c your windows version is a dinosaur...I can't say much tho, because I'm using windows ME

You should get Mozilla Firefox. It is better. Open My Computer. Then in the address bar, type www.google.com and search for Firefox. Then download it.

Sounds like a virus. Run a virus scan on your anti-virus software, and maybe even a spyware scan. It can't hurt to de-frag your hard drive while you're at it.

sounds like you have a virus,scan your computer to find it, or do a system restore to a day before this started, also,if you are running yahoo or AOL you can disable IE and use only your isp browser
