Texas is the greatest state/former country in the greatest country in the world. I mean, anybody on here who is bashing Texas should know just where to go: San Francisco or Boston where they can sip pretentious $7 lattes with their gay, liberal friends.
The best food is there (especially the corn nuggets in east Texas. OK, so Alabama does have better shrimp.) The girls are drop dead gorgeous. The cities are incredible--cosmopolitan but laid-back. The live music, wildflowers in spring, hill country, piney woods, friendly faces everywhere.
Don't hate on Texas until you've paid it a visit.

Texas is tremendous, Born and raised right here, and that i have traveled I continually like coming back homestead, there are quite some different eye-catching places in the international with outstanding human beings, yet there is a few thing about Texas that continually brings me back- by the way in case you do not understand-Bush isn't a community, we are knowledgeable, there are not as many pink-necks as you imagine or opt for-to-be cowboys- in case you opt for pink-necks bypass to Arkansas or Louisiana or Mississippi- sure, Texans are proud and performance a ideal to be!

It is only the over inflated ego of most Texans the lends them to believe their own hype. Tell me how good it is now that you are buried under freezing temperatures, then tell me again when the floods hit in spring. Texas is just a holding tank for most of the Al Bundy's of the world whose single greatest achievement in life is their high school football team barely breaking even their senior year in high school. Now they slowly drown themselves in beer and sorrows.
Texas is a sad, sad little state of mind.

well, Im not gonna say if Texas is the best or not, thats depends of each one's preferences....
HOWEVER, Whiz has a point, Texas is one of the states in which people are fatter in general...especifically San Antonio, which according to a reseerach is the fattest city in the US. Fact.

I love Texas but these summers are going to be the death of me. Last summer made me wonder if the equator had relocated right across DFW.
