There are some who have the gift. Unfortunately there are some snake oil salesmen who exploit people. I hate to say it, but Sylvia Browne strikes me as the latter. If you listen to her, she begins with generalities that may strike a cord. When she tries to get specific, her predictions fall flat and it leaves the asker confused.

I am psychic. I use my intuition. If I have a feeling about someone, that is psychic. You can be psychic, when you practice. You can be born with the gift or you can be very good the more you practice. This has nothing to do with being a mind reader. Psychic and mind reader are 2 different things.
Sometimes when I'm looking for something, I use a method called "remote viewing". I concentrate until I get images or messages that helps me find the item(s). Sometimes I am successful at it, sometimes not.
I do not charge people for my ability. I do it pro-bono. To make my ability stronger, I practice my ability online. All I need is people's first name and date of birth, and their question. I do not any other info. After that I tap into their energy and I write down what I see. I have seen very good psychics with awesome abilities that charge for their time because they have to make a living you know. I have also seen psychics who are con artists who don't know anything but the information you feed them with, those con artists are the ones who keep asking money and tell you, they perform miracles, when they don't, they feed on the innocent.

Scientific studies are continuing concerning psychic abilities.. Both the USA and the former Soviet Russia were running secret programs during the cold war. there is such people and they get their power from the devil
believe it or not, there was this one story in the bible where this king went to contact a dead prophet. he did get contact but,in layman's teams, that prophet said "what the ****, why'd you do this? curse you!"
psychics are real, they just get their power from the devil (or they really are faking it, people can't really tell these days)
