Yup i heard, but they would do bad without him because they would need another really great point guard. Because if you think about it Jason Kidd is up there for the stats Hes averaging about 15 ppg 8rpg and 9ast so it would be bad for them to trade for him because think about it who else can match up to his numbers other then maybe Deron WIlliams or Steve Nash who makes up for the ast

A general manager recently contacted the New Jersey Nets about rumors the team might trade forward Vince Carter. The Nets responded by asking if there was any interest, instead, in Jason Kidd. The conversation transpired before reports of Kidd's marriage problems.

That sounds like the reports I've been hearing...if so, that means he hasn't been traded yet. It's just speculation so far. Basically the media's been questioning the Nets front office about it, and the Nets' top brass 'straddled the fence' in their response - they didn't say they were going to trade him, but they didn't deny that they might either.

Apparently the most interested teams the Celtics, Pacers and the Heat. There's also an outside chance Kidd could end up at the Kings, Clippers, or even the Lakers...IF New Jersey decides to trade him.

I'm pretty sure that's just a rumor because, no otther point guard in the league is doing what he's doing right now. He said at the beginning of the season that he is going to average a triple double. He's almost there with: 14ppg, 8reb, 9ast. If he continues this he will be the only player other than The Big O (Oscar Robertson) to do this. He makes EVERYONE on that team better. He plays defence, and his basketball I.Q. is very high compared to all the other guards in the league except Nash, Billups, and maybe Kirk Hinrich. So if thier not trading for one of these guards, then thier losing a lot.

I'll believe it when I see it. Who's he being traded to? For whom?

Don't start the rumors unless you back it up with something other than "he's getting a divorce and the Nets don't like it".

If a team is willing to take on his contract, he will be traded.
