I can say from experience that being pregnant was definitley enough for me to stop smoking. Once I found out I was pregnant, I never smoked another cigarette again. I have heard that its hard for some to do still, but just to let you know, it can be done.

I smoked before i got pregnant with my son, but when I found out I was pregnant I quit. I just told myself that if I want a healthy normal baby I would not smoke, believe me when you become pregnant and know for sure, and quitting is what u really wanna do you will quit because you know what harm you about to do to your baby. Good Luck!!

You can do anything you put your mind to.
I wouldn't suggest waiting until you become pregnant to quit smoking, though because your hormones will be haywire as it is.
Try to quit now so you don't have to worry about not being able to later on down the road when there is a fetus growing inside of you.
Good luck.

Good idea. Sometimes women get morning sickness that causes them to quit, but not always. Maybe you can start working on quitting now, so you will already be smoke free when you get pregnant.

Why not go ahead and quit now- so that may even help your baby more to have a healthy mother. It won't be easy but you can do it. Good Luck and think about getting the quitting over.

I stopped smoking the moment I found out I was pregnant, and honestly don't miss it. (I smoked about a half pack a day, on and off for over 12 years.) It was not hard...there were too many other things to think about.

both my husband and I quit smoking BEFORE we tried to have a baby. In fact, it was 4 years ago the 9th of this month.

We both used the nicotine replacement patches for 6 weeks and they worked well for both of us.

Good luck to you. Quitting smoking isn't easy, but it's most definately worth it! Think of all the money you'll save, plus all the health benefits of NOT smoking!

You will be able to quit when YOU want to. It is actually best if you quit smoking before you get pregnant, that way your body has time to rid itself of the toxins.

It takes willpower. I am a caffeine junkie, but when I became pregnant, I quit cold. If you want the best for your baby, quit now. Good Luck!
