I want my question answered now. 4 hours later I don't care anymore. Is it just my impatience or do I have a point? Hurry up!

Nobody with a real problem will wait the four hours to take advice.

But I think it's best for people who search for here for questions that have already been asked to get the truly best answer.

People who look here later are getting the best answer out of four hours. You may not want to wait, but for people who visit here later, it will matter.

I've never waited 4 hrs. I just check on the question until no more answers are sent then pick the one I like.
But why ask a question if you already know the answer?

Martin,
You have a point! Why not choose a best answer to YOUR question when you want?? It's YOUR question! You should be able to choose your answer when you damn well please! No, you're not impatient! You're just a person who knows what he wants. Like me, you simply sound tired of people telling you what to do!!

So people get time to answer, and you'll get a broad range of views.

I depends on the question, as well. If it's technical or a yes/no answer, then I agree with you, but the line has to be drawn somewhere.

OK, so what's the question???? First you mention the best answer being chosen, then your question not being answered for four hours.................
Solution??
I've answered your question and it took me waaaaay less than four hours, and I would very much appreciate being given the 10 points for best answer.
Thank-you.

You can't always get what you want. It is a line from a song by the Rolling Stones.
