I am providing you with the following information because to me the restaurant listed is the best Italian I have ever dined at.
Carbonara Trattoria Italiana
Why? Because this restaurant has been voted the "Best" in San Clemente,CA for 11 years running.
Carbonara's offers an excellent blend of both Northern and Southern Italian dishes. All dishes are prepared to individual tastes such as "no oil", "no garlic" or "extra spicy". And, if you do not see what you are looking for on the menu, as long as the ingredients are available, Chef Tony Carbonara will personally prepare the dish for you! Now that is class!
Regular menu prices start at $5.95. Nightly Specials range from $10.95-$21.95.
Owners Tina and Vince Rospattalla and Tony Carbonara and his wife Mary are top notch! I know them personally and they know how to treat their customers!
This is one fine dining establishments for sure! Check it out. You will be very happy you did!

There's not a lot of chain Italian places over here in California. I think your best bet would be Olive Garden. Its good, not too expensive, and there's quite a couple in different cities. There's also Romano's Macaroni Grill and Buca di Peppo, though Buca di Peppo is pretty expensive. But the portions are huge! Carrabbas is another chain restaurant that has some restaurants in California, but I'm not a huge fan, as the wait is always very long (60-120 minutes). I've been wanting to try Maggianos for awhile, but the closest one is about 3 hours from where I live, so I don't its going to happen. And there's always the Old Spaghetti Factory, but I don't consider that Italian, per se.

There are a lot of variations and everyone is going to have a different favorite. Mine is Fratelli's in Montrose on Verdugo. It is owned by the same guy who owned Maurizio's in Glendale (man that place went down hill trying to be a sports bar rather than a restaurant). It's a tiny place but the food is great!
Please stay away from Olive Garden.

There's a tiny Italian restaurant in LA (Silverlake, to be exact). It's small, one of a kind, delicious and the service is outstanding. It's Giannino @

by no ability somewhat concept about it and that i wager it truly is because lots of the places we bypass to have music that seems to slot the get jointly, the nutrients and the mood or none in any respect. yet, i might want to a lot somewhat listen mushy music than the kitchen racket and the clinking of plates and silverware. Rock music? it truly is catering to the help and by no ability the client till the organisation is a youngster draw close-out.
