Just to clarify...my fiance is NOT beating me up and the bruise is NOT on my face (jump to conclusions guys!) It's on my arm and I got it when my 3 year old nephew decided to whack me (is that abuse?!) ....sorry if that's not dramatic enough! Thanks to all who sent answers re. make-up.

A yellow or even light green tint on the bruise is the best option. I have had to cover numerous bruised for plays and we always use a light green cream based. But for something not as dramatic a yellow will do to. It does sound weird but it works, I used it when I was a brides maid.

Take arnica 30, a homeopathic remedy, also arnica gel/cream. That will get rid of the bruise. But if it's not fully gone there is a green cream to put on under foundation to hide any blemishes and even skin tone. Also double wear foundation by estee lauder is fantastic it has great coverage and will hide anything. They also do a lipstick in double wear and neither of them will budge for the day!

Congratulations on your wedding. Have a great day!

firstly i'd like to congratulate you on your wedding.
Try cosmetic cover-up creams. You can camouflage a bruise with special yellow-tinted cover-up makeups, says Dr. Clark. "Since bruises are a mixture of blue and red, if you apply yellow--the opposite color on the primary color wheel--that cancels out the bruise so that it appears neutral."

"You can usually buy this at the cosmetic counter of a major department store," she says. Estee Lauder, for example, makes Under Cover Tint in yellow. And a company called Physician's Formula sells a less expensive version at drugstores. Look for a waterproof formula so that it won't wash or sweat off.

hi, congrats on your wedding, I figure that you probalby dont have a lot of time to go out to the store and buy something, you would probably want to circulate the blood in that area so it will go away faster.(someone recommened this to me and it worked) Just get a ice cube and wrap in in a paper towel and rub it on the bruise and the surrounding area for 5 minutes, then get a small face towel wet it with water and put it in the microwave to warm it for one minute, and do the same place it on the bruise, then alternate on and off for 15 minutes with the ice and the towel.
this will increase circulation and will help get the bruise out much faster, especially you said it is a small bruise so it might disapper completely, good luck, liz

Try the homeopathic remedy arnica, it's in a cream too.
Then shovel on the make up.
A concealer pen then a good foundation.
Go ask at a beauty counter.
Good luck and have a lovely day.
Hope the other guy is worse off.

go with cover girl or mac they have tons of shades and the cover up dosen't look like its even on so its a great way to hide a small blemish or bruise. also, either one of these cover ups go on smoothly and they dry fast.

Try Dermablend, it's made to cover up birthmarks. Do a web search to find a store in your area. Dillards and Macy's both carry it. Good Luck
