Am I alone in thinking perhaps it would be a good idea to have the American Democrats stand aside at the next election and thus allow the Republicans into power. After all, it was they who started this illegal war; why should the Democrats inherit an unwinnable war?

That would be the ONLY way another republican administration would get back in office.
But no, why give the Republicans four more years to start another war or two?

Last I checked bush was a republican,& he started the UNWINNABLE war,but yes I do think Democrates should win next election & bring our troops home immediately & stop this illeagal immigration crap

It wouldn't matter. If a Republican was President and the war was still a miserable failure, the Republicans would just blame the Democrats if they held the power in Congress. No matter what, they won't accept the responsibility.

We cannot walk out of this mess without other repercussions.. stop looking back..Republicans got us there ? Maybe ? But are you aware of the news wires who are warning of conflict with Iran ? Not liberal news wires either........
The world was once in awe and feared the USA , this is no longer the truth . We really have no Allies to speak of and are in a sh** load of trouble in the world......
we are seen as an empire building, war mongering nation in other parts of the world....Not as peacekeepers as we view ourselves.......
