Empire - hands down, with Revenge of the Sith coming in a close second in my list ONLY for the fact of seeing Yoda finally getting his froggy butt kicked, and watching the Jedi get massacred. YEAH!

Taking the movie as a whole, Empire Strikes Back. But the dialog between the Chancellor and Anakin in Revenge of the Sith is some of the best evil influencing I've ever seen in movies! Right up there with Magneto chatting up Pyro in X2.

Revenge of the Sith was pretty awesome (most of it at least). The previous 2 before it, Attack of the Clones (pretty good in 2nd half) and Phantom Menace (not good at all) dont come close to the RotS.
The original 3 are still great, just because I grew up watching them. I think the characters are better in the original 3, but again, I did grow up watching them, and could be a little biased.

The Empire Strikes Back, definitely. It's so exciting and Han is in the Carbonite and everything!
Besides, Darth Vader rules then. Anakin is a wimp.

Episode 5 the empire strikes back is the best. Its dark and original and has the amazing twist (if you havnt seen the crappy new ones already) that darth vader is lukes dad. And the battle on Hoth is great too.

3rd and 6th was the best because it was the beginning and ending of anikens struggle with his personal demons, and in the end he was able to see that his son had become a Jedi, and didn't fall victim to the dark side.
