my gay/bi friends always talk about the l word but my straight friends say they have never heard of it

I'm straight and I love the L word I think it's a really cool show

The L Word is a TV show... like all others, people only watch shows cause they find it interesting to watch. Not cause its about lesbians or gays or straight people.
I was drawn to the show cause Jennifer Beals (Bette) was gonna be on it and Ive been watching her movies since I was little when she was on the children's "Faririe Tale Theatre:" series in "Cinderella" and I saw her on Flashdance too.
Now, if Jennifer Beals wasn't on the show, I don't think I would have watched it..... Im usually drawn to shows if someone Ive seen before is on it. So that may be the case for some poeple as well.
My straight cousin had heard of the show and we watched it together when she was over and she enjoyed it a lot. Had a lot of questions about the characters afterwards tho. (since Ive been watching it since it started)

Some do, if they aren't too scared people will mock them for it, or they do it secretely. Imagine how often gay people have to watch straight people's drama and sex in tv and movies? It wouldn't hurt more straight people to give it a shot, even though it is a total (although hot and funny) soap opera most of the time.

yeah, i know a lot of straight people who watch The L Word. My girlfriend's mom even watches it with us.

I'm a straight female (altho I often wish I was a lesbian, it was not meant to be) and I'm addicted to "the L Word."

My brother's straight, he's heard of it...and I think he secretly watches it too!

Some do, some dont. I have straight friends who are gay/lesbian friendly (of course they are. im a lesbian) and they LOVE the L Word. And then i know LESBIANS who dont even watch the show. So it just depends on your television-watching preference, not your sexual preference.

lol considering it was on the radio the last few years as one of the hottest shows on Showtime, I think many men flocked to the show to try to catch some chick on chick actions.. lol. ..but then so do I..lol..
