Is it a lot of water like peeing on yourself? Or like a small leakage?

uncontrollable peeing....except you are peeing water and chemicals...

It can be either... if the water breaks up high, it tends to be a slow leak (like your peeing uncontrollably), or if it breaks down low it can be a gush. Not everyones water breaks before they go into labour... you just never know.
Always have a towel in the car just in case.... and a jacket that you can wrap around your waist if you're in public. Maybe even carry a maxi pad or two.

When your water breaks it can either be a flood of water (but not nearly as much as you see in the movies...more like 2 cups or so) OR it can be a trickle that won't stop. I have had both and was concerned that I wouldn't know if I was peeing or in labor....trust me....you'll know. Amniotic fluid (which is what leaks out of you) has a sweet smell. Remember....if it is greenish or brownish in tint...go to the doctor immediately.

it can be either. Some feel a big gush and other feel a small trickle or leak. it can come out very slowly or really fast. if you are unsure then i would definitely call your doctor b/c they can test the secretions you are feeling by swabbing it and let you know if it is amniotic fluid or not. hope this helps a little.

For me, my water has never broken on its own. The docs have had to do it and well it was a waterfall! ('You'll feel a little wet' WHOOSH! lol!) Some ppl just trickle a little tho.. and loose it slowly over time. But it it breaks big.. you'll know hehe

it all depends on if ur water ruptures completely u will know either way cuz it will continue to leak

depends... when my friend's broke it was on my foot......... ewwwwwwwwwwwwwww!!! it was a steady stream after i got out of the way
