I guess I need to chill down some, it really had me scared there for awhile. I don't want to lose my eye over something that could of been avoided. Thanks for the answers thus far they really calmed me down here.

You have a broken blood vessel. It should be fine just don't rub it an more. The bloody spot will over time disappear. This is normal and nothing to worry about as long as it is not painful and you are not experiencing an visual problems.

yes, the water in the shower breaks down the wall of protection that covers your eye and when you rub it, youre putting pressure on the eye causing the blood vessels to burst. it should heal very quickly

It is like a ''bruise'' in the eyeball. You applied too much pressure and a capillary burst. It should shrink in size daily.
