Brett had his career and should step aside so the Packers can groom his replacement.

This would be a great year for him to accept a backup roll...Like a player coach...The Packers could trade up to get Russell or Quinn and Brett could help train them.

If he did that, he would be an even greater hero to the Packer faithful than he is already...The Packers will not win in 2007...8-8 is the best they can expect (They'll beat my Lions twice so its all good) so why not spend the year breaking in a new QB?

Now...That said...As a long suffering Lions fan, I HOPE BRETT COMES BACK AND PLAYS THE WHOLE YEAR...That would put the inevitable back even further and increase the years it's going to take before the Packers are playoff contenders again.

Maybe the sad sack Lions will have their act together before that happens.

Brett...Do the right thing and step aside!

You obviously don't know Farve. If he can Pass like can during the bears game, then he will still be great. He is 38. Yes that is Old for a football player. However he is still smarter and a better passer then 80% of the rest of the quarterbacks. It would be a shame if Farve left.

Favre is not too old. I may be showing my age, but does anybody remember George Blanda? Granted he wasn't a full-time quarteback. Favre has the heart to play one more year. And so what if he started crying? He loves the game and his team with all his heart. Heck, even when guys get to the Hall of Fame they cry. I think if he plays one more year, the team will come together and play better. He is a great leader.

Favre put up some good numbers this season. He just has a young team behind him. I'd still take him over most QBs in the NFL in a big game (except for Brady, Brees, and maybe Peyton Manning)

If he would get on to a good team, he could play for another 2-3 years, and win atleast 1 super bowl. He is old but his skill is amazing. I think he could do it.

He throws too many interceptions and forces too many passes. He hasn't had success throwing touchdown passes. It's time to let some young QB take over the offense. He will always be remembered for being one the game's best QBs. I don't want to see him as his talent keeps declining.

I think it is time for him to retire. He had a great career. He won a Super Bowl. He has played every game since 1992. He should hang it up. It isn't like the Packers are going to make the playoffs anytime soon.
