Algae wafers, spirulina pellets/or flakes, cucumber zuccini, piece of driftwood for fiber, romaine lettuce, broccoli, and shrimp pellets. Plecos should not be housed with goldfish.
1. Plecos are warmwater fish, while goldfish are cold water fish.
2. Goldfish and plecos crap alot, together they are an even bigger bioload on the tank.
3. Plecos always develop a taste for the slimecoat on goldfish and sooner or later will ravage the goldfish. (happened in the big indoor pond at my work....poor 12 inch comet had to be euthanized)

Yes,the other fish can eat it( is it algae wafers?),it won't hurt them at all,in fact it's good for them,Comets can eat just about anything. One thing you can feed that's good for both comets and plecos are canned peas with the skins removed.Just pop the peas between your fingers and let the inside part fall into the water. The fish will love it!

I would recommend that you call the store next time it is open and ask if the other fish can eat this particular food.

i thought pleco were bottom feeders, they eat algae on the glass or any thing on the bottom to clean up the tank.they are like cat fish .i don't think they need special food unless your tank is spotless.

they would have told you to buy algae tabs. Your other fish may peck at it, but they still need flake food
