Catholisim is really sybolic. Proestants, Mormans, Baptists, etc. are not nearly sybolic as Catholisism. So it add's to the 'authintic' look of the movie with all the robes, statues, clergy, cathedrals, etc.
Whatever religion makes better TV pretty much...

the protestants are not the type who calls out his call on each occasion issues are not any further going somewhat the way they were hoping. ... and that is a lot more effective relaxing bashing catholics than protestants... you keep in mind that maximum of them get used and abused by technique of the top of those issues.
