My problem is i got accused for not checking my work and my manager was about to issue me with a warning. when i know something is wrong with my work i stop and take pride in what i produce. So i did the right thing and reported the error to my supervisor whom told me to continue the next day my manager did not come and confront me about the situation instead he took away my over time. im just a normal process worker all the good machine setters have left and the guy that works with me is really not expericed at all i dont know what to do i feel that ive let myself down my manager theratens and bullies who ever he feels is a therat or had a bad day, the owner of the company has no idea whats going on but my manager does not listen to reason. i got told about my warning form another co worker. My supervisor knows nothing about my machine

The best advice I can give you is don't play the victim. Its not your fault these things have come to pass in this way. Your not really suffering in a truly conventional sense, you just are in a rut with your manager. So instead of taking the stance of posing against anyone in the biz which could only make matters worse, look like the good guy. Be smarter than him. Lie to your manager by apologizing for whatever wrongs you think he might see in you. You know he's an idiot and a bully whos on an ego trip. Hes probably used to everything being a fight so shock him by telling him what he wants to hear so he can get some respect and you get some peace of mind for a change knowing he's not after you.

Can I assume that your organization has a Human Resource Department? If so, that's the place to go to register your complaint, confidentially, to the HR Manager. Let him/her know that there are other alternatives you could pursue to have the problems resolved, but choose to allow the organization to address the situation. Give HR time to investigate, gather the facts, and come to a conclusion that they can take to the owner for action.

If the situation has not changed after 6 weeks (a "reasonable period"), then exercises your alternatives. Either one will be more than happy to help you and your co-workers resolve the issue.

("Alternatives" = Union, or lawyer - "constructive discharge"; "hostile work environment")

I feel that you should start looking for another job as your manager is abusing his authority. This is not the right way to work as I always believe that when your superior start abusing his authority, the subordinate will be victimised by him/her. If I were in your shoes, I will look for a new job before I quit from the current company.

You can look for another job; or you can go to HR. I think that you should start networking and see what else is out there but definately file complaint with HR before it's too late. Good luck.

If you are intimidated by this creep get the E mail address of the personnel dept and write a similar e mail to them so it can be resolved. Good luck

Start looking for a better job. Don't let they know about it. You have good experience. You can end up getting paid more at a better place.

This may be a sign letting you know, it's time.
