Left would love to shut down the right wing radio stations, there would be no truth in broadcasting. First step in communism.

The purpose of the Fairness Doctrine is not to stop any broadcast, but to force biased broadcasters into presenting dissenting voices.

Anything that helps to cure the crazed partizanship and bring moderation back into politics is all good.

This is the person I agree with:
State Rep. Mark B. Cohen of Philadelphia, said "The fairness doctrine helped reinforce a politics of moderation and inclusiveness. The collapse of the fairness doctrine and its corollary rules blurred the distinctions between news, political advocacy, and political advertising, and helped lead to the polarizing cacophony of strident talking heads that we have today."
This law and the views of those who favor it is not a matter of who is being louder or more entertaining - it's about presenting the news and being answerable for what is broadcast as news.

The left has no interest in shutting down rightwing radio. The lies told by these stations eventually come back to bite them in the buttski and the public knows this. The only ones listening are the right wing neo nuts and those looking to keep up to date on the latest lies. I don't listen anymore, they got to sounding like a rap station. I can't agree or disagree with Rep. Hinchey, I never heard of him.

Well according to some, radio hosts like Rush Limbaugh are complete liars, while someone like Al Franken is a complete truth spewer.
