Do you have to pay for the 2oz. postage rate if your letter weighs only 1.2 or 1.2 oz.? Or is there another way?

If you want it to get there on the first try, add the postage. Otherwise, the worst that will happen is it gets returned to you postage due. Frankly for that little weight, as long as it is not a bulk mailing, the USPS would probably let it ride.

I was just at the post office the other day and I think if it is over you pay the next price up.
