Historically, Saturday is the Sabbath and therefore is the 7th day, the day of rest and thus, according to the Bible , is the last day of the week. Consequently , Sunday is the first day of the week. In the Portuguese language, Monday is called "segunda-feira": the second day of the week...

The above reckoning has not been universal, however. In the Russian language, Tuesday is called "vtornik" or second, making Monday the first day of the week.

More recently, the International Standard ISO has set Monday as the official first day of the week so I guess, it's now Monday. ISO standards are observed by more and more organizations and countries so this setting for Monday as the first day of the week is likely to be the new universal definition.

Preschool and daycare are very countless issues. Many 3 12 months olds pass to basically 2-3 days of preschool a week, and that they are regularly a million/2days. Daycare is a provision for working mum and dad who want a secure (and optimistically advantageous) place for their little ones whilst they paintings.. it may or won't have an academic ingredient. there is not any reason that a baby of three desires to be in a preschool 5 days a week.. In maximum states the legal college age is 7. there are various reward to a baby being with a being concerned ensure 2days a week. and clearly you're keeping her not basically entertained, however the activities you're suggesting are academic for a baby this age.. And daughter and daddy time is plenty greater helpful than daycare. I heavily doubt that under the circumstances you advise a relatives courtroom choose might insist on 5 days of daycare.

Sunday starts the week

and Monday starts the business/school week

Here's my theory, on the calender, Sunday is the first day of the week. Also, I like to think that I end my week AND I start my week with a day off, so I actually start to work on the second day of the week.

Look at the calender kiddo. That says it all. First day listed is Sunday. That's because it's the first day of the week. But Monday is the first workday of the week for most of us, so that's what all the confusion is about.

major corporations back in the late 70's started work weeks in America on Sunday night when the Carnegie grant programs were indicating that there was far too much home time in the week end for the employees so they altered the week to crash in to the week end to defy family life of two days alone in was in conflict of the hierarchy privileges to manipulation all forms of their employees-es perceptions-selective rejection-deferred gratification-direct over-sight all were introduced to break the bonding of husband and wife to get the corporation in a better slant to infiltrate personal behavior-lock step methodologies were the out come along with profiling people but it was only for the information it didn't raise profits only the power of the acute angle was instigated-thus anaconda went out of business-1987=the rock

Depends on the tradition. The Hebrew tradition has the week end on saturday at sundown. The Christian tradition Generally has it end on sunday at midnight. I'm not sure if there are other traditions for this.
