It really is pathetic to appear desperate but I think sometimes a person just can't help it, especially when they are really desperate!

Sometimes. The question is, do I look desperate if I star your question? Or anyone's for that matter? I feel like I will look desperate if I do, so I won't, but in my mind I'm giving you a thumbs up! ;)

Of course. Who wants to appear to be desperate? It comes off as a sign of weakness. No one wants to look weak!

It depends. If it will benefit my family, then I will be as desperate as necessary. Otherwise; I don't want to appear desperate to anyone for any reason.

I think that anyone "afraid to appear desperate"...Is desperate. Not that there is anything wrong with it...we've all been there.

Absolutely. The more excited you get about something, the more self control you need to exercise.
