1. Subtract 5 from both sides, so you get:
2n > -4. Now divide both sides by 2, you get:
n> -2
2. Subtract 4 from both sides, so you get:
3n > 3. Now divide both sides by 3, you get:
n>1
3. Subtract 20 from both sides, then divide by 3. You get:
4 < or equal to x
5. Subtract 1 from both sides, then divide by -8. When you divide by a NEGATIVE number, you must flip the sign of the innequality. So, you get:
-2 < x
5. Divide both sides by 5 first and then subtract 4. You get:
w > or equal to - 3
6. Divide both sides by 2 first and then subtract 4. You get:
w < 2
7. Subtract 2x from both sides. You get:
x < -3
8. Subtract 4x from each side, you get:
3x>-9. Now divide both sides by 3, you get:
x> -3.

The key is trying to get all the terms with variables in them (x,n,m...) on one side and numbers on the other side. Then you simplify so you have a variable on one side and a number or fraction on the other.

1. 2n+5>1
-5 from both sides
2n>-4
divide by 2 both sides
n>-2

You need to be able to do the rest on your own.
Remember if you divide by a negative the sign flips.
Good luck.
