Oddly my grandparents would talk about the past but not to live in it. They were more interested in comparing their youth to mine (World war, etc), and hope I could learn from them.
I did...I learned to conserve money, to get as much education as I can (and still at it), but they told me their lives were not all that great.
My mum loved to dance, though. My dad couldn't dance worth a flip.
All dead now, their stories live in my memory and that of my brother. I love the stories of the older people. We can learn from them on occasion.

We don't.Are we supposed to move on faster than younger people?As you get older you do not feel any different in some areas so we just continue doing what we have always done.When you are older you will know what i mean.

we have less of a future but we have also made more mistakes. therefore some of us have a tendency to look back and think what life would have been like if we had done some different actions.

Ha ha ha, not all of us do! Don't forget though, you get to a certain age and you have more to look back on than there is in front of you!
