i have written a poem have a look at it and please tell me what you think.the title is A Boat.
It is the darkest night of the year.
You are in a boat with your best friend;
You’ve know each other since you were born
You love each other so much that you promise
No matter what happens, you will always stay together.
Deep woods and dark night hug you
And only God knows what blood-thirsty and hungry animals are out there
You both keep on paddling with these haunting thoughts
But feel warm and comfort from each other’s presence.
Everything seems to go against you,
Even the wind does not seem merciful tonight.
Then your friend says,
"Can you paddle alone for a while? My arms are really tired."
This is your reply," my arms are tired too,
If we paddle together for five more minutes,
I am sure we will reach our destination."
Your friend replies," I can not move my arms for a second,
And you are talking about five minutes!"
You can sense the edginess in your friend's voice
But reply in a very calm manner, "if we try to co-operate,
And not be selfish we can cross this lake very soon".
This makes your friend even more furious and she starts to argue.
Then you both end up yelling and shouting at each other.
In all that chaos you both realize that your paddles have fallen deep in the lake
… Perhaps you will soon loose control of your boat!
But instead of finding any solution to rescue yourselves
You start blaming each other for all this trouble.
You both are so furious that you would rather swim to your destination
Than sit with one another.
You become so unaware of your surroundings and yourselves
That in a blink of an eye your boat drowns
And you die.
