I mean not over obsessed...I love my kitchen to smell of herbal cif oxy gel before i go to bed.I bleach my door handles throughout the house twice a day.Hoover the whole house twice a day...you know the kinda thing.
Do you think it's a bad thing to be like this? I do spend around £20 a week on cleaning products.

well some people like to have a nice clean tidy house , Some people have pet´s and find the need to hoover twice a day, or big family´s, I clean my kitchen twice a day as I do a lot of cooking but I don´t clean it from top to bottom , just the normal things cooker work top´s and floor , at the weekend it get´s an all over cleaning, with all the other house hold cleaning that has to be done. I would find myself worn out if I had to do what you do everyday , but everybody to there own thing. Spending 20 pounds a week is a bit to much , I Use a natural stone cleaner & it cleans almost everything stainless steal good for the bathrooms , limescale, silver, brass, gold , most metals, clean´s widows well it´s use is never ending . So I save a lot just using the one product. but if you think you have a problem you should see your GP. & see what he think´sI

Do You want a job? I wish I had your enthusiasm!
Ps my house is clean but I hate the ritual of having to do it after an 8 hour shift when all I really want to do is sit and relax!
Ps. I do think you spend too much on cleaning products. You should fin 1 or 2 good ones which will do for all your jobs, I love the way 'Cif Oxygel' works and it smell lovely too so I think you should keep this one and buy it in bulk to save money!

I think you should be proud of yourself that you take so much pride in having your home spiic "n" span. I know some ladies that could take some hints from you. I am the same, I am not happy until my house is clean from top to bottom and I just find it impossible to go out or go to bed leaving something not done. I do however think 20 pounds is a little excessive for cleaning products. You have a natural cleaning product (a grease) available to you constantly. Its called "elbow".
Try using less miracle cleaners and a little more elbow grease and see if your costs come down.

That is a bit much...honestly! I might have to hoover twice a day...cos me got lots of animals you shouldn't have to. Bleaching door handles? No way...a few germs are good they help you to stave off infection...harden you up...it's true! You know you could be doing so many better things with your time...honestly even if you cut down a bit....life is for living and when you are at the end of your days you'll look back and think 'I'm glad I spent a large proportion of my life cleaning'??

Halve that £20 a week and save the other tenna towards something nice for you all!

The chemicals in all those cleaning products may not be doing you too much good. Children need a bit of dirt to activate their immune system & prevent them from getting allergies. I think cleaning twice a day does sound excessive. Are you worried about germs or is it a displacement activity to try and prevent you thinking about other things, or are you bored being at home all day? I think you know things aren't quite right, or you wouldn't have asked this question. Try and answer it yourself & decide whether you are okay, you need to change or you need outside counselling.

Yeah, that's a tad bit excessive. But, at least you have a clean house from it. Just wondering, do you have kids? I'm sure they'd rather you play instead of clean. If not, find a hobby. A clean hobby. Or better yet, a messy one that you like, so when your done, you get to clean up the mess! Like making clay pots and painting them. That would be a nice mess to clean. Or, you can come help me! I'm never done!

I am a compulsive cleaner myself. It is part of a bigger picture, of my OCD (which also includes my lip-biting and checking my answering machine every two hours on my day off).

Every time I make a meal, I always clean up afterward. A lot of times, I clean out moist food packages before I throw them away so that they won't smell, especially tuna cans. I love paper towels and Simple Green. If I get the slightest drop of food or drink on a surface, off it goes. Opened foods usually get zip-locked. I get a sense of security and stress relief by doing these things.
