It's just annoying when you ask a question and you get an answer you miss punctuated here here and here or you misspelled this. It's plain dumb and rude disrespecting that when they asked a question and your commenting on how they spell. If I spelled somthing wrong sorry about that some twelve year olds aren't good spellers yeah i'm below age I know but my dad lets me on here to ask about videogames and other things.Yes I have good grades above Bs so don't comment on that either.Sorry i'm being kind of disrespectful myself sorry about my manners.Oh and yes this isn't in the right category. So please don't get mad about that.

The only time I see comments on the asker's english is when it is so bad that it really is difficult to read and/or comprehend, sometimes impossible. Looking at your question, I found some very minor errors, but nothing that anyone would complain about. It's just that ... "Sum pepl rit lik dis." And then some people write like this, "I foun pn n sur do f tl wat bri co lkng sha?"

Uh... what? Second graders write better than that. If most people would bother to review what they wrote, just one time before hitting submit, there would be many fewer comments on spelling and grammar.

Truth is people who really have the inability to spell words (and these exist) acknowledge this and work hard to combat this problem to the best of their ability.

Nobody on here accuses anyone if they have misspelled a word or two. What people ARE against is plain laziness.

For example: "wht shuld i wear 2day?"

I mean, c'mon, there IS no excuse for typing like that. Also simple grammatical things like know vs now. This is grade 1 stuff - it's only fair to expect anyone past the age of 10 will know this.

Because, how do people expect others to answer a ? with bad grammar and punctuation. It's as easy as a click of a button to check the spelling, and if the spelling is that bad they need to be in a grammar class instead of asking illegible question on Answers all day...

Grammar, punctuation and spelling are important because they are rules of English. Think of it as a sport. If you don't know the rules of baseball you won't be able to play well. You might have a lot of great ideas in your head but without knowing the rules you will never get them across to other people. I hope this helps.

Because misspellings and grammar errors make reading a question difficult. The reason commas, periods and dictionaries exist is to make communications easier.

I've never told anyone how poor their spelling and grammar is on here but I have stopped reading some because of it.

Also, you need to know good manner & spelling incase you have children and need to teach them something.

Poor grammar, spelling, and lack of punctuation are a sign of poor education and lack of effort. And, typically, those who ask the really dumb questions are the ones who have the worst spelling, etc.

It is aggravating to read a question with misspelled words when all one has to do is click 'check spelling' to fix it.

If the spelling and punctuation are bad enough, it can be impossible to understand what the question is. It's annoying to be ready to give an answer and help someone out, only to find that they didn't bother to write clearly enough to make any sense.

Well maybe people who are correcting spelling (like me, because I do it all the time) are trying to help you. If you're going to speak English at least speak it properly.
