one outcome will say "delivered" and/or "sent success"? Does it mean the one that was delivered didn't reach my recepient?

Sent success means that is was successfully submitted to the Short Message Center (SMSC). (this will take up to about 20 seconds). If you have turned on delivery receipts on your phone, then delivered means that it has successfully reached the destination phone. This can be anywhere from a few seconds to many days after it was sent. The SMSC is responsible for doing the initial delivery attempt and any store and forward that might be necessary if the destination number can't be reached at that time
